The EU Battery Regulation and its impact on Cake

The case study evaluates if Cake's current lineup of batteries comply with the EU battery regulations which entered into force in 2024. The regulations aim to reduce the environmental impact of batteries in the EU throughout the battery's entire life. Promoting a cyclic rather than a linear economy. 

The findings include updates to documentation and processes that have to be done immediately regardless of when the batteries were manufactured or imported to Sweden.
